26-30 weeks!

30 weeks! (yesterday)

Little notes:
  • Gotta love bigger hips (aka love handles)... not. I got reminded a little while back about mine, when El literally pointed it out to me by saying "mum, is that where the baby's head is? This little bump right here?" As she prods on my love handle... ouch. Funny enough, she was the one who gave me those "little bumps" in the first place!
  • I scored a 2 hr foot rub one night (while we watched a movie)! So the compromise was to put the kids to bed all on my own (a routine Joe and I love to hate) Pffft!... it was easy breezy- they were so tired that night and it was so worth the reward! ;)
  • I have stopped vomiting my lunch for a little over a week now (week 28ish or so)! Yay!!!
  • I had my glucose test done...gross, and got my anti D shot (sucks to be negative blood group). I had the option to have it on my leg, arm or butt. I opted for leg and I had a dead leg for a while and still have the bruise to prove it (it's a thick needle). I'm going for the butt next time.
  • I'm feeling pretty good apart from getting sore feet (which I always get anyway). I'm struggling a little with the heat, it makes me feel so bothered and lethargic.
  •  I started doing prenatal palates around week 26 and I really recommend it. I feel relaxed after each work out and I have not suffered from any back ache or  any more leg cramps... knock wood! There's also some handy moves that I want to try during the labour.
  • I'm still 63kg (total weight gain of 6 kgs) which means no weight gain since week 25. Not sure if this is a bad thing or not, but I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so I'll will check and make sure I'm on track. Personally, I feel like my belly has grown heaps so I'm hoping baby is growing nicely too.
  • I have been eating a mango (or two) a day. I'm loving them! I'm also eagerly anticipating lychee season...yay! I cannot wait to let baby have a taste of these lovely fruits of the gods.
  • The bump is still getting plenty of loving from El and Noah. Sometimes Noah forgets it's there though and is all over it... not nice.
  • Not sure how to explain it, but I'm starting to feel a little sad for Noah and Elly when I think about the change that is about to occur to them in a couple of months. I remember feeling the same thing for El when I was due with Noah. How will they cope? Will they feel deprived of my attention? Will they feel less loved? I know I'm probably worrying over nothing, but hey, that's what I do best.
  • Just got home from my appointment with the midwife today. I expressed my concern about the lack of weight gain, but she reassured me that it was all good. I'm just a "little person" (isn't that what they call a midget?). Anyway, she also told me that baby's head was already down there and asked me if my other baby's had come early... ah, NO. So naturally, i'm not going to think anything by it. But personally, I think it's the prenatal palates I've been doing, I've placed him down there nicely with my moves on all fours. :)
